NAMCO BANDAI Holdings Inc. President and Representative Director, Shukuo Ishikawa

Shukuo Ishikawa

On behalf of everyone at BANDAI NAMCO, I extend our heartfelt sympathy to all those who have suffered from the recent earthquake and tsunami, as well as our prayers for their earliest recovery. The Group will do everything in its power to support recovery measures.

The BANDAI NAMCO Group engages in a diverse range of businesses in Japan and overseas. The operations of the Toys and Hobby SBU include toys, plastic models, cards, etc. The Content SBU offers content for such outlets as arcade game machines, packaged software, and network services. And the Amusement Facility SBU operates facilities that are points of contact with customers.

In April 2009, we commenced the current Mid-term Business Plan, which targets the realization of our medium to long term group vision of being a “Globally Recognized Entertainment Group.” In fiscal year ending March 2012, the final year of the current plan, we will complete the process of thoroughly reinforcing our foundation for operations in Japan and overseas. We will leverage that foundation as a platform for targeting full-scale global growth from the next Mid-term Business Plan, which will start in April 2012.

The Group’s mission is providing “Dreams, Fun and Inspiration” to people around the world. To bring smiles to their faces, we will take on new challenges as we strive to provide products and services that reflect our distinctive strengths.

The driving force behind our hit products and services is the strong creativity and enthusiasm of individual employees. Accordingly, I want to create “a group centered on human resource management with unique strengths in entertainment and imagination.” Each individual at the BANDAI NAMCO Group has unique capabilities. I will continue to focus on building an environment in which everyone can do their jobs with a spirit of independence. In addition, we will strive to respond to changes in the operating environment in a speedy manner, to compete not only against our competitors, but also within the Group in a positive manner, and to repeatedly take on new challenges so that we can move beyond existing boundaries. In this way, we will continue to provide products, services, and business models that draw on the distinctive strengths of the BANDAI NAMCO Group.
