Gundam Open Innovation is a program that makes future dreams and hopes a reality. Reconsidering the “Universal Century” once again, multiplying "Gundam" and "future technology" we solve the "social issues" in this real world and make it better.
The grand world of Gundam is packed full of new technologies and possibilities not yet attainable in the present.
In order to transform these possibilities into realities and advance toward an exhilarating future, we would like to combine the creativity, knowledge, and passion of many people.
By working hand-in-hand with Gundam to make the future concepts you conceive real, let’s create a world bursting with hopes and dreams.
STORY
Such passion and technology gave us a glimpse into the animated world.
We have formed a new interpretation of what the “Universal Century” is for the real world,
and proceeded with programs to realize the future hopes and dreams through technology
by combining GUNDAM and futuristic technology.
Looking ahead to the future, we continue to envision a sustainable “future” together with co-creation partners such as experts and innovators in various fields, universities, research institutions, and cutting-edge companies, inspired by Gundam.

Public call for partners begins
Many applications were received from organizations and individuals, with approximately 260 applications received.
March 2022
13 partner teams selected
We have launched the Towords the coming "Real Universal Century" initiative with a total of 13 teams: 11 adopted partner teams to co-create the plan, and 2 alliance teams to support the plan's activities.
October 2023
Two new teams selected
Two teams, ISPACE and MHI, have been selected as Adopted Partners.
The project will work with a total of 15 teams: 13 Adopted Partners who will co-create the plan and two Alliance teams who will support the plan.

Launch of certified project
The following four projects have been decided as approved projects.
1) TEAM SPACE LIFE Project
2) Prototyping project for a new piloted robot for social implementation of mobile suits
3) Green Colony Project
4) Beam Saber - Plasma Agriculture Project

GOI Space Century Charter Plate on board
GOI's original Charter Plate for the Space Century, engraved with a “message for the future” solicited from the public in November 2023, will be mounted on the RESILIENCE lander scheduled for launch on HAKUTO-R Mission 2.
Co-creation partner ispace will transport it to the Moon as a payload.
We also created one digital illustration based on your message.

Gundam Pavilion at Expo '70 Kansai, Osaka, Japan. The BANDAI NAMCO Group will be exhibiting at the Gundam Next Future Pavilion, where information about GOI will be shown in pamphlets and videos in the exhibition hall.
