Utilized blue carbon to reduce CO2 footprints of Shimane Susanoo Magic games

Blue carbon represents an approach to increase the amount of CO2 absorbed in the world by preserving algae and mangroves that grow in and around the ocean. In Japan, the J-Blue Credit system allows companies to use a portion of the CO2 emissions reduced as a result of their efforts to support marine ecosystem conservation activities. As a new trial, we used the J-Blue Credit system to offset the CO2 emissions from the venue during one of the Shimane Susanoo Magic’s home games.
