The Gundam Manhole Project Continues!
Bandai Namco Filmworks has been working with municipalities across Japan as part of its “Gundam Manhole” Project since August 2021. This project is an initiative to install Gundam manhole covers featuring characters and Mobile Suits from the series in various places around Japan. It is meant not just to revitalize local municipalities, but also to express the bond that Gundam fans across generations have with the series.
In April 2023, two new manhole covers were installed in Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture, which is the home of Bandai Namco Shimane Susanoo Magic.
