Activities to Raise Awareness Internally

There are a number of social issues in the world today, including decarbonization, respect for human rights, elimination of poverty, and realization of diversity and inclusion. Depending on the issue, some people may perceive these as someone else’s problem, thinking, “it has nothing to do with me.”

Against this backdrop, the Bandai Namco Group is implementing a number of measures aimed at encouraging employees to “take ownership” of sustainability issues and to establish a culture where they think and act on their own to achieve sustainability as a group.

Sustainability Week

With the purpose of creating opportunities for Group employees to think about sustainability, we have created Sustainability Week, during which Group companies in Japan intensively implement sustainability initiatives.

In fiscal 2024, we implemented a number of measures with the goal of empowering employees to take ownership of sustainability under the motto “Everyone Is a Sustainable All-Star!” In addition to showing videos of the Group’s sustainable activities, we organized a special talk by a celebrity duo, a seminar to think about nursing care, events to experience life as an elderly person and a person with a disability, a health festival, and sustainable menu items at the employee cafeteria. We also collected stuffed toys at the Group’s main business sites and donated them to a non-profit organization in Japan.

Bandai Namco Nature Tour

The Bandai Namco Group provides environmental education opportunities for Group employees and their families.

In fiscal 2023, we held a sweet potato harvesting event in cooperation with Bandai Namco Will, a special subsidiary of the Bandai Namco Group. We also participated in the Lake Senba Environmental Learning Class sponsored by the Junior Eco-Club, which we started collaborating with in fiscal 2015. During the learning class, participants learned about the topography and geological features of the Lake Senba area.
