Activities to Raise Awareness Internally
There are a number of social issues in the world today, including decarbonization, respect for human rights, elimination of poverty, and realization of diversity and inclusion. Depending on the issue, some people may perceive these as someone else’s problem, thinking, “it has nothing to do with me.”
Against this backdrop, the Bandai Namco Group is implementing a number of measures aimed at encouraging employees to “take ownership” of sustainability issues and to establish a culture where they think and act on their own to achieve sustainability as a group.
Sustainability Week
The Group holds Sustainability Week every autumn to encourage employees to think about sustainability. During this time, Group companies in Japan work intensively to implement sustainability-related measures.
In fiscal 2025, we set goals for taking ownership of sustainability and understanding the Group’s sustainability activities, and implemented a number of measures following the keywords “See and Do Sustainability.” As the main project, we held Sustainable Expo, a real-life event at the Bandai Namco Mirai Kenkyusho where participants could “see, learn, and experience” the sustainable activities of each Group company. In addition, we held various seminars on sustainability, simulations to experience mobility challenges faced by the elderly and people with disabilities, a Health Festa, and provided sustainable menu options at the employee cafeteria.
Sustainability BANANA: The Group’s Online Newsletter
Sustainability BANANA is our online newsletter featuring a variety of information on the Bandai Namco Group’s sustainability activities, including CO2 emissions, KPIs and targets of each Group company, status of each company’s initiatives. This website, accessible to anyone working for Group companies in Japan and overseas, allows employees to learn about the current status of the Group’s sustainability activities.
Bandai Namco Nature Tour
The Bandai Namco Group provides environmental education opportunities for Group employees and their families.
In fiscal 2025, we held a sweet potato and peanut harvesting event in cooperation with Bandai Namco Will, a special subsidiary of the Bandai Namco Group. The event took place at an agricultural field used by Bandai Namco Will in Kanuma City, Tochigi Prefecture. On the bus ride to the event, participants were introduced to Bandai Namco Will’s initiatives to employ people with disabilities and to coexist with the local community.
We will continue to provide everyone with the Group with opportunities to experience the importance of environmental conservation.
