Bandai Namco Group Sustainability Activity: Participating in Lake Senba Environmental Learning Class Activities

As part of its sustainability activities, Bandai Namco Holdings Inc. has concluded a partnership agreement with Junior Eco-Club*1, an organization that enables children to voluntarily get involved in environmental actions and learning. Through this, the Group supports activities for children and Group employees can participate in nature experiences and other events.
On February 4, 2024, 20 Group employees and family members participated in a Lake Senba Environmental Learning Class*2, gaining an understanding of the topography and geological features of the area around Lake Senba.
*1 This Japan Environment Association program supports children’s environmental activities, with the collaboration of local governments, companies, and organizations. It is sponsored by the Ministry of the Environment and supported by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. As of the end of January 2024, it had around 2,200 clubs and about 91,000 members nationwide.
*2 Organized by the Ibaraki Prefecture Environmental Management Association, with cooperation from the Sakasagawa Junior Eco-Club.

- Lake Senba Environmental Learning Class
The participants gained an understanding of the origins of the area around Lake Senba through quizzes, and learned as they walked through Kairakuen Garden. They deepened their understanding of the area’s history and environment by actually observing the cave and spring water in the garden.

Activities

The Bandai Namco Group will continue to provide Group employees with opportunities to participate in Junior Eco-Club activities and experience the importance of environmental conservation.
