Working on Sustainable Activities With Fans Using IP: Activities to Promote Personal Water Bottles and Old Clothing Collection Using the Idolm@ster Series

Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & Representative Director: Yasuo Miyakawa) is working together with fans to carry out sustainable activities using its IP (intellectual property, including characters). As part of this, the company has made use of the Idolm@ster series to carry out activities promoting personal water bottles ("Sustainable production activity: walk around with your own water bottle!") and activities to collect old clothing ("Sustainable production activity: recycle old clothing!") at Idolm@ster series events.

The Bandai Namco Group recognizes sustainability as a key management issue, and has established a Sustainability Policy that sets the following as the Group's fundamental approach: "Based on the IP axis strategy, the Bandai Namco Group will work together with fans to advance sustainable activities that focus on the social issues that the Group should address."
These measures developed by Bandai Namco Entertainment are sustainable activities that cover three of the five material issues identified by the Bandai Namco Group, "Harmonious coexistence with the natural environment," "Provision of appropriate products and services" and "Harmonious coexistence with communities," and serve as initiatives to help environmental issues in which fans can easily participate.

In the future, Bandai Namco Entertainment aims to implement sustainable activities that will help to realize material issues.
