Game event in China to connect with the local community
In October 2024, Bandai Namco Holdings China held a game event in Shenzhen, China, which provided a valuable opportunity for engagement with Bandai Namco fans and the local community.
Bringing Bandai Namco’s new Purpose, “Fun for All into the Future,” to Bandai Namco fans in China
Bandai Namco Holdings established “Fun for All into the Future” as its new Purpose in April 2022. Following this, we are continuing our efforts around the world to raise awareness of our Purpose. The game event that we held in China was one such example. The event also aimed to raise awareness of our IP and sustainability efforts among the Chinese audience.
More than 230,000 people attended the event over three days, also viewing an exhibit on our SDGs initiatives
The event was held over three days in an open venue facing the coastline. At the venue, we set up an area where visitors could play games featuring Bandai Namco’s unique characters, such as PAC-MAN Golf, Taiko no Tatsujin Beanbag Fun, and the Taiko no Tatsujin Puzzle Game. The photo spot was also popular, with local residents spending time with their families and friends, smiling. We believe that this event provided an opportunity for local fans to learn about our brand and IP.
We also exhibited the SDG activities of the Bandai Namco Group and Bandai Namco Holdings China, providing an opportunity for eventgoers to learn about Bandai Namco from various angles. The event attracted over 230,000 visitors over the three days, with over 3,000 visitors playing the games and utilizing the photo spot.
Continue with local engagement efforts to promote co-creation with communities
Co-creation with communities is one of the material issues of the Bandai Namco Group. Moving forward, we will continue holding events in collaboration with local communities, creating opportunities to broadly raise awareness of the sustainability initiatives conducted by the Bandai Namco Group on a daily basis.
